    Hi everyone,

I need some advice. I am applying for a job and they ask the following "Apply with CV and cover letter to jimmy@email.com" I normally use the email as a cover letter (never really though about attaching a cover letter before) am I right in think a cover letter can be a summary/selling yourself to get them to look at your cv.

Do you think they want an attached cover letter and cv or a email/cover letter with cv attached.

    Thanks for your help.

    COD

I attach a cover letter with the CV i send out just to give a background on what I'm doing at the moment because a CV cant say everything like!
I think its no harm to attach one to the CV especially if they have requested it, hope this helps!

I would use the e-mail as the cover letter.

Some decent cover letter advice here: http://www.dole.ie/cover-letter-advice/
