Sportspersons Relief

    Hi,

    Has anyone got any experience in claiming relief for sportspersons on their retirement from professional sports?

    I'm familiar with the conditions etc. but haven't a clue about Revenue's practical approach to the claim.

    Is the entire amount claimed in the year of cessation or are previous years' assessments amended?

    Do Revenue require revised computations for each year when claiming relief for up to 10 previous years?

    If anyone has any experience / hints / tips / advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
