Does anybody know where I could buy a TV aerial socket to the UPC box? You know the screw cable on the UPC box to the push in aerial socket on the TV.

I have UPC broadband but I am not paying for the TV. Is it possible to get a picture from it?

    Thanks very much.

Is this what you're trying to do?

    Doubt it.

I've the same problem. Aerial on the roof. When they put in the UPC box they took over the aerial connection on the wall without telling me so now the aerial on the roof is no use to me. In my case I lost out on RTE1 & 2 & TV3 which wasn't a great loss to me so didn't bother chasing it up.

But if there's a way of reconnecting the aerial that'd be handy.

No that's not what I'm trying to do.

I don't have an aerial socket in my apartment so I can not get a picture. UPC have taken over the socket? There are two connections on the UPC box, one is for my broadband. I'm not sure what the other one is? Is it the aerial?

I'm not sure if it's attached to the main ariel for the block or it's been disconnected. I would just like to get a cable from my TV aerial socket to the UPC box and see if it works. What sort of cable is this?

    Its called an 'F' connector.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F_connector
Used for satellite, Cable TV gear, and a lesser extent terrestrial - American TV sets use them for aerial input.
Places like Maplin or Peats in Dublin would surely have adaptors,
    like this:

or a cable with F on one end and standard European TV plug on other end.http://www.peats.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cgi?view_product=1&id=24853&sid=11&cid=153&scid=600

(if you have permission to connect)
