Apologies if this is addresses on another thread , but I had a flick around and I did not see anything.

I am looking to learn at bit about Sky player on xbox 360.
I live in a house that currently has a Sky Dish on the roof and we are wired into a sky box and get Tv through that.

However , I am moving into a house where there will be no sky dish, and so cannot use the sky box.
I am looking to use the Xbox and Skyplayer instead because I want to keep sky, and my sky account.

Has anyone got any experience using SkyPlayer ?
Can I use the Xbox as my primary device for Sky with no problems ?
Can you browse with ease as you could with the sky box if I have a media remote for the Xbox?

I tried at the weekend, but I have already added 1 device to my account this month so I need to wait a while.

    All help appreciated.

    1. There is only a selection of channels you can watch live on the Sky player, but they happen to be all the good one's anyway (Sky1/Sky sports/Sky Movies/Discovery/Nat geo/ ect;)

    2. Sky player is free on Xbox 360 with a Gold account to all Sky subscribers until the end of the year, after that you will also need a multi-room sub :( (Not sure, but saw that somewhere.)

    3. It should work in another house as long as you have the bill payers permission offcourse :D

Personally I use it more to watch archived programs than live tv, you also have to remember that using it alot will cut a big chunk into you broadband download allowance if you have a small one (10Gb?)

Im sure someone else here can get a bit more technical for you....

Also have a look here for non-Sky subs:

sorry to bring this topic up again,

I got my brothers sky password to use on my xbox account, good got it set up. But when trying to access certain content it tells me I need multi-room and at no extra cost on the xbox. Question is, will it cost my brother to get multi-room?

    cheers in advance
