Buying government bonds

    Hi folks,

What's the most convenient way to buy government bonds (not necessarily Irish bonds). For example, can it be done through the share trading on AIB online banking? Seeing the Irish ones being offered at 6% lately makes me think that there must be some others available that offer 4% or 5% with less risk than buying Irish.

    Edit:
Actually, askaboutmoney had a link in a thread from a few months ago that answers my question.
