WSA chairman Barry Hearn today announced a new qualifying system for amateur players worldwide to join the pro ranks. Q School just like in golf will offer 12 amateur players a place on next seasons main tour.3 events over three consective weeks next May will be played in the Snooker Academy in Sheffield. The twelve top players from these 3 events will earn there pro ticket, the entry fee for the 3 events is £1,000 which will be returnted to the 12 sucessful players to go towards their first season on the pro tour.

I personally think this is another fantastic step forward by Hearn to bring the game to everybody.
