I'm predicting it to be as bad as the rest of the sh*t he's directed in the last 15 years.

Lots. He just produces some boring predictable tripe these days. Pretty similar to my style of posting actually.

They should really lay off on those dips to black in that trailer.

Very disappointing film. I had high hopes for it as I find the subject matter (is there life after death?) very interesting, but the film doesn't deal with it in any depth and makes no attempt to answer the question it poses at the beginning. The three parallel story-lines don't work well together either.

Eastwood is a very good director, but his films consistently suffer from the same problem: he doesn't develop the script to its fullest. As long as it's shootable he's happy to start rolling cameras. There's a delicate charm to early draft scripts (before the studio get their mitts on them) that Eastwood is obviously keen to preserve, but this is one of those times that it doesn't work.

I quite liked it. Having decided in my mind beforehand that it was poor, it was a pleasant surprise. I thought the opening sequence was very well done,
but I dont know why it was not identified as the tragedy we all know happened. Just like the train bombing was not regarded as the 7/7 bombing, but it is pretty much a depiction of it.
The british kids were awful imo. some of the worst acting I have ever seen. Damon was pretty good in the cursed / tormented role.
I also liked the "afterlife" depiction. It was a non-denominational all religion kind of place, which worked well in the movie.

A lot of people wont like this movie, but I'd recommend it.

I LOVED this film.....until the last scene. It felt like the director didnt know how to finish it and made a mess of it. Kinda ruined the hour and a half before for me. :(

I know this phrase gets bandied about with alarming regularity but it was actually one of the worst films ive ever seen, it was cringworthy to watch especially (as already mentioned) the two English kids.

Additionally i thought the parallel stories were a disaster as the only one i had any interest in was Damons and that was only alright to begin with!

Just a truly awful film, Eastwood needs to fire whoever does his casting because its just getting ridiculous at this stage.

Agreed (About the scene, not about loving the film :D), it was actually bizarre with the pre-cognisance thing thrown in for no reason whatsoever.

Or he just needs to stop putting out a film every year?

I caught this last night and didn't think it was that bad, pretty slow pace overall and regarding the English kids well maybe they acted as directed? Overall it fell into a chick-flick category for me and being a so-so, I did like the music, the guitar solo's in places had me cranking up the volume.
6/10 because I was in the mood for a slow moving flick last night.
