This question could have been asked before so sorry if thats the case.

I have Sky Plus down stairs and upstairs I use a cardless sky box to watch Free to air.

However I find that switching between channels in the "Other Channels" a chore.

Is it possible to use another receiver box upstairs that will provide a better service?

    Any help much appreciated.

Which of the other channels are you interested in?

The usual FTA I suppose, like C4, E4, BBCs, ITVs etc. Anything else could be a bonus

The box should automatically reset to these when you lose the Irish card.

I can only view E4, E4+, MORE 4, etc on the other channels screen.

My question is would a FTA box work with the SKY dish instead of the sky box uostairs and would it be easier to navigate.

In my opinion, the sky box(with card removed) is the easiest box to navigate and also one of the best ways of viewing FTA as it auto tunes in new channels and auto updates if channels move etc etc.

You should be able to see all theFTA channels in the normal EPG if you have the card removed. You shouldn't need to go in to other channels.

Try plugging out the box, remove the card and then power up again.

BBC1 London should be the first channel on EPG.

Then store the 50 best channels as favourites and youy will be able to view them easily through the blue button.

Alternatively, a FREESAT box is the next alternative. I'd steer clear of FTA boxes as alot of them are hard to navigate and tend to lose channels etc. They dont auto update either, or a\t least most dont.
