Hi due to work, college and family situation I don't have the time or the money at the moment to join a gym so was wondering what the best exercise would be to lose weight and tone up. I am planning on going walking/jogging several times a week but I know this won't be enough. Any tips much appreciated!

www.simplefit.org would be a good one, as would beastskills.net - Beast skills has a whole rake of exercises that would keep you busy.

The best exercise will be the one that you enjoy and you can fit best into your busy lifestyle. I think 'the best' in terms of optimal can be a mute point when juggling commitments and are only just starting to make a change. If you are very unfit, walking is a great place to start. Move on to jogging, add in some bodyweight exercises, eat less, improve your diet. Look into taking up a sport that might keep you interested - it's very easy to knock jogging on the head, but if youre meeting up with people for five a side, to play tennis, Judo, go cycling, whatever, you are probably more likely to stick with it, and hopefully have an increased motivation to keep up the joggng /other exercises.

Eating better and going walking/jogging has worked forever.

Consume less calories...burn some more calories...repeat until you are satisfied.
