1990's Midweek movies on UTV

Was thinking about this on the way in this morning so I thought I'd share.

Anyone remember the movies ITV used to show post watershed early in the week during the early 1990's? I think it might have been on a Wednesday but I can't be sure (defo before Thur anyway)

What marked them out particularily they'd be cut to be ribbons with lots of scenes snipped and dialogue dubbed over to avoid offense. Classic lines like "yippie kay yay kemosabe" (Die Hard) and "Suck you mothersucker" (The Rookie) ensued as a result and these still stick with me to this day. I'm guessing these were "aeroplane" versions that were bought in rather than an editing job by ITV but the results were as I say often hilarious.

Other notable things from these screenings would be the "itv box" that would appear in the top right of the screen immediately prior to an adbreak and of course the 40 minute cutaway to the news at 10pm. Basically these movies were a mess from start to finish but it didn't stop us kids watching them as on top of them being 15s and 18s movie (ie taboo) it was something to talk about in school the next day. Either way the "ITV movie" literally was an event for us.

Some of the titles I remember getting the ITV "treatment" were
    Fatal Attraction
    Die Hard
    Young Guns
    Lethal Weapon Series
    The Rookie

Feel free to add more titles you may have remembered or funny dubbed lines in particular.

Ah yes, I remember this! Sky 1 (when they used to show films on Tuesday nights a few years ago) also used to make a mess of editing movies too.

Robocop - in the early scene where the guy robbing the shop is confronted, instead of "f.ck you, f.ck you, f.ck you", he said "why me? why me? why me?".

Motherf.cker was regularly changed to "monkeyfarmer" in beverly hills cop.

I used to watch the tv edits for sh!ts and giggles all the time.
