Cardio and energy levels

Hey guys, looking for a bit of help in terms of cardio and energy levels.

I'd cycle about an hour a day to and from work, which together would be about 15km, slight down hill to the job and a good bit of uphill back home, heavy gear setting on a road bike. I try get to the gym at least 3 times a week before or after work where I'd only really do weight training as i feel doing any serious cardio work there also will leave me too exhausted for work. Sometimes i do find I feel too tired when I get into the gym after work to do a decent work out.

I'd have a healthy enough diet, mix of fruit and carbs/meats through the day mixed with at least one protein shake. No real extremes of each.

My sleep patterns would be fairly average, 7/8 hours sleep most nights but the times will fluctuate because of work shifts

I'm currently building back muscle strenght in my left arm after a snapped humourous left me out of the gym for 8 months, so the weight work isn't any mass building just working it all back to some form of balance with both arms.

Is there anything I can add to my diet that could give me some sort of energy boost that would allow me to add a bit more cardio into my work out ? It's the energy levels I'm having trouble with, I just thought I'd add a bit of info to it ! :pac:

    Any help appreciated.
