Ok,basically I'm fairly toned regarding upper body (chest/shoulders and arms)....

However,it seems around were my abs are isn't toned at all. I can feel them by pressing on them. Seems to b like a very thin layer of fat covering them, almost like a little pocket just beneath my bellybutton.

What can I do to make my abs show and complete that 6 pack....

Just for the record,I take a protein shake post workout...don't know if that's relevant, just thought Id say....

    Thanks guys

Loads of cardio to burn off the fat!

You cant "spot reduce" fat, you cant choose where you want to lose fat from.

The only way to see your abs will be to lose more bodyfat, sounds to me like thats where youre going to lose it last.

If you want to see them, lose more fat, but dont bother killing yourself for it, its the wintertime sure, nobody will be seeing them.

abs are made in the kitchen,no need to kill yourself with tonnes of cardio keep training resistance hard and some cardio make sure any carbs you take are complex/slow digesting and slightly lower the amount you eat later in the day u should see them soon enough

As has already been mentioned, getting a 6-pack is mostly about nutrition.

Beyond that, make sure you concentrate on gaining as much muscle as you possibly can. This will speed up your metabolic rate, which will further help you remove the excess fat from your stomach.

So put your emphasis on becoming stronger at squats, deadlifts and overhead presses. Always remember that direct abdominal exercises are merely icing on the cake. The big lifts (especialy the overhead press) hit these muscles hard, even though you'll never feel a "burn" in your abs when you perform them.
