Hi, going to Michael Buble on Friday in Aviva Stadium and wondering do I drive ?

Is it a nightmare to drive ?

Is the Dart a nightmare to get to town ? And my last train from Connolly is at 11.00 so it might be too early ?? So I think I will have to drive .

Any suggestions are welcome concerning parking.

letting us know where you're coming from/going to after might help.

traffic is always very very heavy when there are events on in either the RDS or Landsdowne.

what's the curfew for gigs in the stadium? you might be better off walking back towards town.

you're likely to be waiting a while for a DART to fill up before it leaves the station for connolly.

Thanx , coming from M4 direction, The Dart is the best option but I heard it was caotic after the first match, maybe it might be differant after a concert but doubtful. ! I might just chance driving, there is ni official car park which I can't believe but I'll just take a chance with anywhere!:confused:

For any mass event, the most sensible option is to walk or take public transport some of the way so perhaps leave the car in a car park in town or one of the suburbs and trek in the rest of the way; allow an hour before and afterwards for piece of mind. .

A car park for 50,000 people is asking just a little bit too much in central Dublin :)

I think that he was more shocked at the lack of a car park for even 5 people.

Would there be a case for driving to say, Liffey Valley and bus onward followed by Dart.

Actually feck it - just take a bus/train direct to Dublin and walk or Dart (if your legs dont work) from there

One of the design goals for the Aviva was "No Parking" ( no messing ) - I'm a local resident.

Lateral thinking - why not park in Blackrock or something and Dart in ?

If you supply a car park for 5 people, 15,000 people will drive in hoping to get parking there :)

Thanks everyone, A few people have said Pembroke Lane to me so I might chance it. If I thought the last Dart wouldn't be so chaotic I would go that way but at that stage you just want to get home !!! Thanx again

i used it when i was a steward for the irfu in the old stadium.
i was always guaranteed a spot in there.

if not im sure there will be something nearby, prob towards the rds direction.
    enjoy Mr Bubble.
