    Hiya
My Husband and I have 1 child (15yrs). My huband is the only earner in the family and he works in the North with an average take home pay of £260. We live in the south and don't claim any other benefits.

Do we qualify for Family Income Support?

    Thanks in advance.

Is it Family Income Supplement you are asking about?if it is ,you wouldnt be entitled to it because you need to be working in the republic of Ireland

I am a recently separated mother of 2 children and a friend advised me to apply for Family Income Support. My husband is paying the mortgage but I dont know how long that will go on for, do I say this on the form or will it go against me in the overall application. I have a small part time job but it will not cover mortgage bills etc. Thanks

Even if you think mentioning that your husband is paying your mortgage will go against you, you still have to tell them about this. It is means and will be assessed as such. If you do not mention it, that is Social Welfare fraud. It won't stop your mortgage being paid by your husband, however it could affect the amount you receive on FIS.
