VAT Registration

    Whats the turnaround to get a VAT number?

    The last time I registered for one (4 years ago) it took around 7 weeks, but of course I was in no rush back then.

    I need the number urgently. And tips on how to get it moving along?

    Hi

    Its usually 10-15 working days. Tips to get it moving is to file the form and chase up on it every few days or so.

    Hi,
    I just got one for a client and it took less than 7 days. They were even happy to allow us change the application date as it was needed in a hurry.

    If you can, drop the application in by hand. Then call a day or two later. Tell them you need the number urgently and you'd appreciate any help they can give.
