I am looking for a solicitor that specialises in dealings with Management Companies.

What type of law do they need to specialise in?

Or can you please recommend a firm/solicitor to me?

    Thanks in advance. :)

I don't know exactly what you mean by 'dealings with management companies', it's a bit vague?

A solicitor that has dealt with proceedings against Management Companies.

That understands how they work and is not intimidated by them.

Who knows the law and perhaps specialises in that aspect of it.

There are firms who specilise in Family Law/Criminal Law etc....

I am looking for one who knows the law in relation to Management Companies.

chances are you are looking for a solicitor with experience in civil litigation.

if you are suing in order to get some compensation for something happening which was the management companies fault .... pretty much any solicitor would do.

if you want I can recommend one ?

Do you want to tell us why you intend suing the management company ... or why you are looking for a solicitor ? chances are some of the people here can give their opinion as to if you need a solicitor or can deal with your issue without the need of solicitors (some of the posters here are solicitors/barristers)

    Thanks for your post.

Unfortunately I can't go into detail at the moment but I have been advised to seek a solicitor with experience in this area.

Yes if you can recommend one I would really appreciate it.

    Many thanks in advance.

Look there's no need to be cheeky about the whole thing, especially when you're the one looking for advice.

Depending on the circumstances, you could be looking for someone in Commerical Lit, Corporate or Civil Litigation but you declined to offer such specificity in your original post so I requested more information.

Was it too much ask without the attitude?

There was no cheekiness intended. You said it was vague so I explained it.

I was merely explaining what I was looking for and I wanted to make it clear for you.

I certainly have no attitude....what is with your obvious insecurity and taking offense to an answer given to a question asked by you?

Asking people like you for advice is what is wrong with this country!

    Always on the defensive........

In fairness, considering you're posting in a legal forum, that comment is cheeky and condescending.

I accept that you were trying to explain it, I refer to the comment above. The post came across in a patronising fashion so that's why I got annoyed.

I'm far from insecure and regularly try to give advice or info on this, and other, forums so I don't easily get offended by 'answers'.

WTF is that supposed to mean?

Anyway, you got the help you need so what does it matter

Except possibly in very large practices there is not the degree of specialisation in legal services that some posters expect.

Most solicitors offices do conveyancing, and as there are apartment blocks or estates with management companies everywhere. practically all offices have experience of management companies.

Further in each area there are a number of managing agents who manage properties on behalf of owners/management companies. Some may deal with a substantial number of properties. They would be aware of solicitors experienced in sorting out the problems that arise.
