So, now that the dust has settled who do ye reckon will get man of the match?
Personally I reckon it was Aidan Walsh, I know he didnt score but he was everywhere and caught a huge amount of high ball. Obviously Goulding and O' Connor had fine games too.

Obviously be a Cork palyer. I predict Goulding, Donnacha Walsh or a different Cork Player.

If it were to be a down player it been Coulter or Marty Clarke.

Going to be Cork but I would have given it to Danny Hughes.

Imagine it will be Goulding 8 points in total?

    Donnacha Walsh

Didn't realise Kerry were playing today!

    Donnacha O'Connor for me.

Sorry my bad. Not great with names. Should have been Donnacha O' Connor and no Kerry weren't playing today.

Ya Danny Hughes could be a likely candidate if they go for a Down player as man of the match but more likely be a Cork player.

Yeah, same - I thought he showed for the ball very well, scored his frees as well, that point he got from the corner was very impressive! Michael Shields did very well to hold Benny Coulter, Goulding slotting his frees, Aidan Walsh, who played well, made a couple of mistakes with passes but has improved all year, did very well in midfield

Coulter - Are you serious?? He was very quiet by his standards. Even though there was only 1 point in it I don't think any of the Down team were truly outstanding or inspirational. Possibly McVeigh although his kickouts were finding cork men a lot of the time.

Although thats as much to do with Aidan Walsh being a contender for MOTM along with Donnacha O'Connor or Goulding as those few 45's he hit over in the second half really swung the momentum in Corks favour.

So for me it's between Walsh, O'Connor and Goulding. Probably go for Goulding with O'Connor a close 2nd as his 3 points from play were magnificent.

I surrender! I agree either O' Connor or Goudling are likely possibilities of being man of the match.

Donnacha O'Connor for me as he was the one who got Cork into the Final through some amazing scores against Dublin and had a brilliant second half today, making the difference with fabulous scores.

Having said that, Daniel Goulding would be a very, very close second.

Fair play to Oisin McConville - its about time someone praised Noel O'Leary. I couldn't believe the comments at half time still criticising putting him on Clarke. I thought he did very well today.

Noel O'Leary has been given quite a bit of stick but great to see the smile on his face at the final whistle.

He has a reputation for being ill disciplined, which is an unfair tag that he has! Wears his heart on his sleeve, and gives everything every time he puts on the Cork jersey!

Michael Shields, Donnacha O Connor and Daniel Goulding the RTE nominees

    Well done Daniel Goulding MOTM!

Fair play to goulding, deserved it in the end I suppose. Disappointed Walsh didnt get a nomination but I suppose he has Young Player of the Year wrapped up.

I don't know if this makes sense, but for me the biggest factor in this game was Murphy and in particular Canty coming on at half time. Maybe its because my seat was directly in line with the cork half back line in the second half, but I felt that Canty brought a composure to that area and that they controlled the Down attack much better in the second half. Moreover, Canty was very good in possession, creatively he set up a lot of moves. I thought he played a huge role.

I know Goulding played a huge role, but i don't think Cork would have won this if Murphy and Canty had not come on.
