I'm trying to loose a little bit of flab before Christmas so I'm trying to slot in a 20 minute jog on the beach every afternoon, along with a healthy balanced diet, is this enough, or do I need to do more to loose a couple of pounds before Christmas?

Weight lose is all about calories in 's calories out, as long as ur in a calorie deficit you'll lose weight

Get ur diet sorted and 20 mins of jogging will do the job especially on sand

doing 20mins jog every day is not the best use of your time

20mins run one day, 20mins weights the next, 20mins foam rolling and stretching the next and keep repeating might work a little better as running alone will help burn calories but it wont in any significant way change your shape, make you look more tight and firm etc

If you are trying to loose a bit of flab, 20 mins won't do much. Your muscles store enough energy in them to be able to do 15-20 mins work alone. After 20 mins, their energy source is depleted and your body switches to body fat in order to keep going (the transition is also known as "Hitting the Wall").

In order to get at that body fat, you will have to put in at least 30 mins of medium intensity running (or interval training if running is too much). Mix it with some body weight workouts (push ups, squats etc.). Don't forget the warm up, cool down, pre & post stretches and you will have a good 1 hour session every second day.

ie. (just an example and timing down to yourself and your personal fitness
    5 min warmup,
    5 min stretch
    10 min run
    5 min bodyweight workout
    15 min run
    5 min bodyweight workout
    10 min warm down
    5 min post stretch

The healthy balanced diet is also a big plus.

If you are struggling to fit your training into a busy schedule, remember you only have to do 1 hour every second day (3 sessions a week) - 1 straight hour is far better than 2 or 3 20 min sessions.

define heathy and balanced? are you following a particular plan.

Just keep the diet balanced and shrink it down a bit until christmas.

    The jogs will obviously help.

    sounds good.

what do you recommend should be done in a 10 min warm down ?

The whole point of a cool down is to reduce your body (heart rate and temp) back gradually to where it was before you started training.

Hydrate, slow your running pace down significantly but keep running. Keep that up for 3/4 mins until you feel you heart rate drop and you are very comfortable with the speed. Hydrate some more and drop down to a power walk. Another 3/4 mins. Hydrate and move down to a slow walk. At this stage, you should be very comfortable, heart rate way down and body feeling good after your run. Now you can start your post stretches. A lot of stretches can be down lying down on a mat if you wish or standing up.
