On social welfare Moving town

    HELLO folks just wondering if any1 here can guide me, Im planning on moving to a different town in the next few days just wondering if their is any big issues i need to sort out with social welfare before i move . . .Like do i need to inform the social welfare office im using at the moment that im moving?

    Ideally id rather be working but thats the way things are at the moment.

    Any help Greatly Appreciated

    as long as u are not gettingrent allowance ur grand. have to bring in utility bill with new address and u have to use the social welafre office that is where ur NEW house is. if ur getting rent allowance then u have to reapply all over again takes at least 6-8 weeks and thats in leitrim.

    I would suggest Talking to your local office before, or very soon after, the move. While you might only move a mile or two, that could move into a different LO's area. If that is the case you will need to change LO. If not, you will still need to let them know where you are now living
