there are a few integrated washing machines around, they tend to be a good bit more expensive than a normal washer though,
bhwm129 is a hotpoint model, its around €400 maybe a bit more,

im not sure who said it couldnt be done!!, i wouldnt trust him!

Go to any DID or Power City electrical store and you can see various intergrated washing machines, from the likes of Zanussi,Hotpoint,Whirlpool,Indiset,Bosch etc etc.

Most are a 6 kilo load capacity as they are slightly more compact as they are integrated/hiddden from view when installed in the kitchen. The dials and buttons on them are recessed into the front of them, and there are hinges on the front of them that allows you to attach a kitchen press door to them,so that they blend in with the rest of your kitchen.
They are very common now in most modern kitchens these days.

    I don't know where you got quoted 400 for that,if you did,get it,I've a feeling that's over 550.
Beko have started doing integrated models, which would be one of the cheaper ones if not the cheapest, but still would be 450 plus I believe.

i think the beko ones are built off the hotpoint technology and chasis -

some of the beko freestanders were the same as the old hotpoint wm range -think they kept the wm 1000 on the bekos ,was a slight difference with the module but essentially the same machine

btw .most integrated washers are the same machine now ,the zanussis are rebagded whirlpool , hotpoint ,indesit ariston (obviously)are the same ,powerpoint belling etc all rebadged

    Avoid installing integrated appliances,
they are twice the price of standalone.

Put your washing/dryer into a utility area instead. They may be visually/physically integrated but the sound polution is off the scale!

    Buy an integrated dishwasher only.

Avoid the latest integrated fad...the built in expresso maker. It will look over-sized and very tired in twelve months. It's the patent leather shoes of new kitchens.

plus a lot of service companys wont repair even under warrenty unless the machine is pulled out prior to them visiting -

an example of this is miele -top machines ,they will offer an install service for all there appliances expect integrated ,they wont touch them ,they leave it to the kitchen fitters or get you to get your own installer - check the service tab on thier website

I can never understand why anyone buys Miele goods, they are the biggest rip off of all time for an over rated brand.

And what about most householders who dont have a utility area/room???

Most houses just have sitting room, kitchen and dining room,or combined kitchen diner.

Funny how all my appliences are integrated and are very quiet and are of no bother to me or my family when they are in operation.

I have a large open plan kitchen/dining area too.I dont have a utility room.

whats that in the last press with the double doors next to your diswasher ?

Its a 7 kilo load capacity condensor dryer, the 2 smaller twin doors are left open when in use and the foot/kick board below is hinged so that little bit of the kick board opens out so that the machine has plenty of air.

The kitchen fitter built the kitchen out off the wall a bit so this dryer could be fitted in.

When its not in use,the doors are closed over,so that you wouldnt even know it was there.

Have to say that it works a treat and the dryer works perfect too.

I wanted a nice clean flowing look in my kitchen,so thats what I got.

Have you the dryer actually integrated or is it just behind a door?

Its a normal free standing 7 kilo condesnsor dryer, that sits in behind the 2 small twin doors.

The entire kitchen was brought out off the wall by an extra 40mm over standard,so that the dryer could be fitted in and blended in with the rest of the kitchen. And the wallnut work top is 650mm and not the usual 600mm dept.

Built in double oven/grill,fully integrated washing machine, fully integrated fridge freezer, fully integrated dishwasher, and then a condensor dryer that is hidden away/blended into the kitchen.I wanted a clean/flowing look and didnt like the idea of a dryer ruining the overall look of the kitchen,so hense it being hidden/blended in.

The new boiler is also hidden away in the last large wall press down in the corner by the window,in order to keep the clean/flowing look going

    Simples.:)

Anyway,go into any DID Electrical or Power City and you will see various integrated washing machines on display. Both shops have a section where they display all integrated appliences with doors on them,so that you see exactly how it looks when integrated.

Prices range anywhere from 450 euro up to 800+ euro depending on make and model.

    Happy hunting and shopping.:)

Thanks for all your posts. Very interesting. I will be going for integrated appliances. Your kitchen is lovely. It is quite similar to the one I am getting
Do you or anyone know the company HomeKing I am thinking of getting my appliances from them? I would just like to know if anyone has purchased appliances of them before ?? Thanks.

    .

thats not true - my girlfriends washer/dryer is integrated and its very quiet....dont know the model number but its a "neff" fancy looking thingy - personally I'm not a fan of washer/dryers - I prefer them seperate.

and I've wondered about the filter and if theres a blockage.... being integrated would mean a lot more problems in getting it fixed - but the entire kitchen integrated looks fantastic.

Got the kitchen from In House and had a carpenter/kitchen fitter fit it all for me and also modify the kitchen to build in the dryer and boiler too.
Kitchen is a Roma kitchen with 650mm solid wallnut worktops.

    HomeKIng???

Never heard of them.Do your homework 1st before you deal with them.Maybe better to buy from a well known and reputable retailer in my opinion.

The filter is in the usual place, down at the bottom on the front of the machine, all you have to do is drop the kitchen kickboard and theres the filter looking at you.

    Hi

Yes I research them today and they are called HomeKing in the UK But in Ireland they are Baumatic. The company I am getting to put the kitchen in have taken over this company and there will be a guarantee with the kitchen and appliances
so therefore I would be dealing with the same people if problems did arises with either the kitchen or appliances.

Thank you all for you replies :)
