Carlton (dublin road) Atmosphere????

anybody know what's the atmosphere in the Carlton is like?? My cousin is 18 next week and her family are thinkin of stayin in the carlton. Will probably have dinner and drinks there as 14yr old brother is also coming. Just wondering if it'll suite both the youngen's and family??
