Might have a nibble at two doubles,
    Arsenal and Spurs, @ 1.41
    Everton and Stoke, @ 2.18

Nothing else really appeals to me, i will probably have a small bet on torres to score on sunday.

    Stoke are great price imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 407 ✭✭modmuffin

    Im going for the following;

    Chelsea -2 @ 4/5
    Man Utd @ 3/4
    Blackburn @ evens
    Everton @ 4/6
    Stoke @ 10/11

    €25 pays €500

All teams at home and i fancy them all to do the business.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Everton and Stoke for me tomorrow, it's 3/1. 25 on that. Also will have a single on Stoke to the same sum.

If that comes through I'll have something on the Arsenal game for sure then, probably Insurebet double.

    Accumulator

    Everton 4/6
    Spurs 4/9 ( Sh##e price)
    Sporting Fingal 21/10
    Stoke 10/11 (Great price Imho):D

    €20 retuns Just over €280.

Think stoke are a shoe in, slightly fear for spurs with the amount they have out, but should hav the depth and quality to beat Wolves and get some revenge for a defeat last time they met.

    Blackburn - Fulham

Quite like the look of Blackburn today. Big Sam is obviously in the news of late with his delusions of grandeur but all it is is a classic case of deflecting the attention away from his players. Today is a classic case of a strong home side up against a relatively weak away side.

Last season Blackburn only lost three times at home to Spurs, Man City and Everton, beating some very impressive sides along the way. They've only lost six games at home under Sam which is very impressive. In the corresponding fixture last year Blackburn won 2-0 with much the same team as today.

Zamora out for the foreseeable is a massive loss for Fulham and I think they'll struggle without their talisman. Last season they only won once away from home and are an atypical poor away side.

Blackburn win at evens looks good to me.

    Aston Villa - Bolton

Really like the look of Villa today as well. I think Owen Coyle is doing a fantastic job at Bolton and they're a team I like backing at times but I think today is all about Villa due to Gerard Houllier's first game in charge.

In the last ten game Bolton have only won this fixture once with Villa beating them 5-1 in the corresponding fixture last season.

Villa at 8/11 look a bit tight odds wise but acceptable.

Villa and Blackburn double at around 2.5/1 looks decent as well.

dont think houliers in untill after this game, if thats any difference to your confidence in Villa

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Not easy to enthuse about this fixture list from a betting POV, I think a single on Stoke might be the height of it at 3 pm depending on the starting 11.

I forgot one of the main factors of west ham woes at the moment and that's Robert Green

Stoke throw ins against him will be very interesting

Stoke dnb 1/3 .Can't see Wet Spam getting an away win.

Im also thinking wolves will get somthing at Spurs. My thinking behind this is spurs look dodgy after European matches and Wolves are no push overs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 585 ✭✭✭deise48

€30 on stoke at 10/11 . stoke should win this handy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 528 ✭✭✭Sir Vival

Heard on the radio yesterday that wolves have accumulated 12 yellow cards and 1 red card in their last couple of games. Assuming spurs get a couple booked aswell, i think i'll do the following...

    45pts or more (card index) @ 7/5

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,408 ✭✭✭ft9

Anyone reckon Stoke can come from behind and win again?
    4/1 at the min

    I hope not!

    Untitled-7.jpg

Although I have the draw in a tasty looking treble so an equaliser wouldn't be the worst.

FYI I had a dream last night that West Ham would win 1-0. Though in my dream it was Carlton Cole who scored.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,416 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Haha don't go chasing your dreams! I fancy Stoke from here in but hoping for the draw.

For a game that can have only 1 of three outcomes it's damn hard to predict.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

At times i think you'd have more luck if you stuck the names of teams into a hat and just randomly picked your bets out.

A random event predicting a random event. Could work out better than logic.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,584 ✭✭✭digme

or you could bet on all draws that's what I did today and i'm delighted :)

    Interesting observation today.

    Four 1-1 draws.
    Two 3-1 wins.
    One 1-0 win.

Wonder what the odds of four or more draws would've been! :pac:

Yes just checked the match stats now. 6 yellow cards in total. Must keep an eye on the card index in all of wolves' games (allbeit they only got 3 today). Can't wait for Wolves v Stoke whenever that is...

Man UTD v Liverpool - Vidic is widely fancied to be given plenty of problems by Torres today. With UTD pushing up and Torres with plenty of space in behind, his pace can exploit Vidic and attract him into rash tackles. Vidic was 9/4 on Skybet to be booked earlier in the week (not sure if it's been cut), 14/1 first booking and 20/1 to pick up a red. Nice value. Couple of great (IMO) value over 2.5's for La Liga on my blog too.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Have a few bets on for today..

Vidic to be booked at 7/5

    Chelsea -3 @ 7/4

Malouda and Rossi Insurebet Double @ 15/1 (will wait closer to KO to place that)

After timing thought I know, was going to recommend Kalou to score but got caught up reading the carnage ensuing on the footy forum

Insurebet was 2/1, Kalou to score and Chelsea win was 4/6 :pac:

I'll say great because i have it at 4.50 from before the game. Chelsea tend to score more in the second half in their recent big wins. So if that trend continues a 10-0 scoreline wouldn't shock me.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Last bit of money in my account on Chelsea -5 @ 7/5, 25 euro

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

2/1 for one more goal in this half. I'm really tempted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

Feckers. I went back in to do the above after posting here and they removed it. Was only gonna put 20 on it though.

Don't count your chickens yet. Blackpool are notorious for scoring 4 or more goals in the second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

Chelsea need to get a goal soon so they might start playing with that goal hunger again. Seem too laid back at the moment.
