Iv just finished work and couldnt sleep so started slobbering on-line. Checked up a site that shows active coast guard helicopters on a map, It showed the Shannon based heli 42 nautical miles out in the atlantic, im sure they were further im guessing the ais technology is constrained by distance. Any way I'd just like to say Fair fcuks to them lads and ladies!!! risking your own lives 24 hours a day in any weather, Thanks!!

    oh the site is sar.ie/rescue
