Bootcamp not working

I am trying to set up a partition with Bootcamp but it keeps telling me it can't move certain files, to back up everything and reinstall. Is there anyway to get around this? On my old Mac I didn't have this issue.

This is a common problem. I've had it as well. It seems to have a problem with large files over 1GB - you could try removing them. However, fragmentation might also be an issue. Reformatting is sometimes the only option. The best time to create the Bootcamp partition is on a freshly formatted hard disk.

I was able to fix this by repairing permissions and the start-up disc. Now though when I load the Windows install disc via boot-camp it can see my partition but it won't let me install on it?

Reformating the partition as NTFS from the Windows installer will work if you're having the problem I'm thinking of.

    Had the same problem.

I had to reformat the drive, reinstall OSX and then configure Bootcamp
