Apps From 3GS To Iphone 4

    I had a 3gs but got stolen, I'm thinking of buying an Iphone 4...

    But i wanna know if my apps will sync from itunes to the iphone4 before buying..

    I spent hundreds maybe even close to the €1000 mark on apps (addicted) :) , anyway i never back up the phone always took about 7-8 hours and didnt finish so i always pulled it out...Needed to use it :)

    Enough rambling :rolleyes: does anyone know if they will sync without a backup of the 3gs???

    If not then i aint gonna bother i'll get somethin else

    Yes they will sync fine, they're tied to your iTunes account, not your phone. Think you can have up to 5 devices on the one account. Anyway, deauthorise the old phone in iTunes as it is using one of those slots.

    I thought the same but any apps with the ability to purchase features within the app itself are tied to the device. Only apps bought directly from the itunes app store will sync.

    when ilost my iphone and all my apps hadnt been saved on my computer i thought i had lost them but when i went to re download them with my itnes account it said i had already purchased them and would not be charged again? hope this helps?

    Records of in app purchases are stored in the backup iTunes makes when you sync the phone. How you might redownload these items is handled from app to app.
