This is being advertised on the Green Party Website. Minister Gormley is to address the attendance.

    http://animalwelfaredinner.eventbrite.com/

He was trying to dismiss the Dog Breeding Bill and the Wildlife Ammendment Act as minor issues, here he is now celebrating and gloating over their passage into legislation.

The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, John Gormley, will say a few words about these achievements and other proposals that are coming down the line

    This will be interseting

Interesting menu.....mostly rabbit food. Wonder if the salmon is farmed? (you know, where they have to put them in tanks and oxygenate the water or the fish will suffocate cause they are unnaturally big). A nice bit of organic wild game might have caused a degree of confusion....

    It will indeed

Can anyone go to this? If I was anyway involved with RISE I'd be there as a silent observer to hear what these proposals are.

Might be a handy place to set up the mobile chip van outside, all the closet meat eaters will be hungry after coming out of that one.

On a serious note I hope RISE and other hunting bodies are outside with their placards protesting and the slaughter of rural Ireland at the hands of these dictators

What about the poor harmless mushrooms sitting happily in a field doing no-one any harm when all of a sudden some greedy selfish vegitarian's hand looms down from above and plucks them from the soil that nourishes them, and who no doubt takes sadistic pleasure in that feeble last bit of resistance the mushroom makes as it tries to hold onto its roots, like an unborn child attached to it's umbilical cord !!

    MURDERING B******* !!

But...then what will the poor rabbits eat? So cruel. Bastards.

i'd turn up to support a picket.

You should turn up dressed as a salmon. I'd like to hear them explain that menu choice.

They have some fecking nerve offering Salmon on the menu, It can't be wild unless it's imported because FF banned the wild salmon fishery and the Greens have been have been anti-salmon farming here for ages.
In fact the dept have stopped issuing licenses for any type of aquaculture because the Greens are so opposed to salmon farms.
Hypocrisy of the highest order comes to mind.
    It's Orwellian stuff really.

The green party are currently having a "think in" in the Lord Bagenal Inn today and tomorrow.
I happened to be down there today whilst they having lunch in an alcove of the restaurant, I was honestly going to send in a tray of pints to Gormless .... Sorry Gormley with a few party hats and balloons, take a few snaps and then sell the photos to the sun or the star ... Ha ha.

Gormley, Seargent, White were there with what I can only describe as the greatest bunch of D4 accented manbag wearing opionated gobsh1tes I have ever seen.
An aquaintance actully summed it up with the words "Jesus Christ, is this the calibre of people we have elected to govern us?"

ps they are staying there tonight and seemingly RTE is there tomorrow.... That's your opertunity to make your protest if you want impact.

What exactly was the problem with the Dog Breeding Bill????????

I thought it was a long overdue piece of legislation to stop breeding bitches being kept like battery hens or farrowing sows used to be housed, and their inbred runts being flogged off to the innocent unsuspecting public out of car boots in supermarket car parks and at 'heritage days'.

I actually thought it was one good thing the GP did.

If I am blindly walking into a hostile minefield because I missed a relevant debate on it here, then just the link would be great.

    Thanks,

It might be from a sustainable source.....
You mean it could be imported fish?
In a time of record unemployment and they could be dining on imported fish?
    This just gets better....

I find the choice of salmon very odd, as I am sure they realise the media focus there will be on their choices at events like that. I think Irish lamb has to be among the most sustainable and eco-friendly of all meats.

I would think its credentials are impeccable & way ahead of farmed or wild salmon (or any fish).

Seriously an event not to be missed in any shape or form. Not just the fieldsports issues, but to tell the "water melon party" [Green on the outside, very RED on the inside!!:(] where to getoff and on their bikes with their cruddy non elected form of mis governance of the Irish people.

Amazing that they are eating anything with Flesh at all.Obviously that should go down well with the animal rights crowd!!So much for the Vegan agenda!:rolleyes:

Thanks bunny shooter, think I found the main thread. Lot of posts.

Was the veterinary inspection fee for places with more than 6 breeding bitches the only issue?

It wasn't explicitly stated but I assume the alleged requirement for the dog to have a photo of the owner was a pi$$ take?
