Knowledge of networking and IP/TCP etc is down as an advantage.I do have a basic understanding of these and i 'play around' at home with networking and different OS.

Basically im looking for a heads up for the interview if anyone can help?:D

    Thanks in advance:)

    Some ideas ...

Linux CLI knowledge (even basic stuff) is a plus.

Some things that might be worth checking out (sorry if this insults your intelligence :-)
    - the difference between UDP and TCP (and maybe ICMP).
    - what ports are. Know some common well-known ports e.g. 22, 25, 80, 443
    - the difference between a router and a switch. Layers 2 & 3.
    - how name resolution (DNS) works
    - subnets and subnet masks.

You could also try downloading (the free) vmware player and messing about with that.

    Anyhow, goodluck!

Heads up to anyone who wants to get in on the VCP scholarship. They aren't getting great numbers for it so if anyone is interested give VMware a shout.

Hi,sorry,i don't quite get it....what do you mean by this scholarship !?
    thanks...

Well it's called a "scholarship". VMware give you an 8 week course to qualify as a VCP. Then a work placement for x months and then a possible job.
