BangCD.com no longer accepting Visa.

    Tried buying two CDs on BangCD recently, entered my billing address, got passed on to their Credit Card handler (Mastercard Australia, judging from the URL), chose Visa as payment type, and received an error message:
    E8200-09160447: description : Card type [VC], txType [PRCH] - no merchant acquirer relationship

    I emailed them to see what was going on, and got the following in reply:
    Thanks for contacting us and apologies for the trouble that you are experiencing when trying to make payment.

    We have been investigating the issues with the payment facility but as we have not been able to resolve the problem we have decided to use the services of a different payment provider.

    We have been advised that the new payment system is expected to be operational in the next 10-14 days. We understand in the meantime that you may decide to order elsewhere; however we appreciate your ongoing support and hope that you will decide to order from us again once the payment facility has been re-activated.

    Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this will inevitably cause and thank you for your patience.

    So either Mastercard Australia has messed up and is unable to fix things, or BangCD have done something to get themselves dropped / banned. Neither is a reassuring thought.

    Anyone else have problems?
