Lad in work was looking for someplace in Limerick that sells
board games, specifically I think he was looking for different variants
of the the game Risk (but not the normal version).
Argos and Smiths did not have anything much,
I had suggested The Gathering to him.

Anyone got any ideas of where else may sell board games ?
He wanted to be able to goto a physical shop rather than ordering
    online.

Didn't the craft shop in the crescent shopping centre sell board games? Might be worth a look.

The Cruises street HMV used to have a small range of board games every now and then upstairs, although that may be just for Xmas.

The Gathering have always been quite a bit more expensive for a lot of things over the years, so if they have board games there I would imagine the same would apply.

To be honest your friend would most likely get the limited editions and more obscure versions online and at a far cheaper price even with P&P included. I had a quick look on Amazon.co.uk and they have a large range of Risk games. They are carrying everything from the standard version to Star Wars versions. Plus on Amazon, any Amazon purchase that comes to £25 or over has free P&P to Ireland

The toy store that used to be on the Dock Road was fantastic for board games!
Pity it closed down. Looks like he may be out of luck and go down the online route.

I got my set of Risk 2210 (really recommend it as well) in The Gathering a few years back. Thye are relatively expensive but they sometimes will order in games for you as well.

Haven't been in there in years but Smyths toystore used to have a huge range of board games.
