Neuropathy

So I have Neuropathy in my feet along with a few other side effects.
My problem is, even with the pain dealt with, I get loads of strange sensations in my feet.
One is the feeling that all my toes are curling in and the nails are being pulled off.
This makes walking about in shoes really weird and uncomfortable.
Has anyone else had anything like this? How did you deal with it? Do you get used to it?

Neurologist have prescribed meds. I wuold get the feeling like walking on really dry cotton wool, toes curl too, pins and needles, burning at night. Meds helped me in a reasonable way, didn't "kill" the pain but they do help.

Sleeping with it is difficult. I tried cold water to stop the burning but that was completely misunderstanding the nature of neuropathy. If anything it made it worse.
