Pain in left side of my jaw

For the last few months my jaw on the right side has been sore when i open my mouth wide. The pain is usually more noticable in the mornings when i wake. I have also been told that i sometimes grind my teeth, and make rapid bites?? Have put of a trip to the dentist for a while now, but will make an appointment some stage…
