Ok I could not really think of a proper title for this thread:)

Basically what I am thinking of doing is cancelling my tv/digital subscription with UPC. All I will get is Broadband from them. I need to cut costs. I don't really watch alot of TV any more. Well I do but, prefer to watch it when I want. So I am looking for other suggestions to get media on my TV.
A Part from the obvious as in downloading. I am looking for legal suggestions.
So If I am to do this. This is what I have, and plan to do so far.

    I have Broadband an xbox 360 and a ps3.
Rent movies on the xbox, Rent DVDs and Blu-rays from stores.
    watch RTE player on ps3.

So I am just wondering If I could get other suggestions of what maybe, I could do or even sites. I can use on the ps3 or other players I am able to use.

    Thanks

Free to air dish? Will give you the UK terrestrial channels as well as a lot of crap you probably wont watch! Get a standard arial for Irish channels and youre covered for the basics of TV.

If you already have UPC broadband, then the basic TV pack with the recorder is €15/month extra. Remember, with no TV broadband is + €8/month.

You can watch a lot of programmes by watching Rte live on the RTE website.

You wouldnt need to spend a fortune. I got one in B&Q for I think it was €70 and it does the job fine.

Can't you download episodes of TV now through the likes of Itunes and Xbox marketplace? Which wouldn't be cheap but I don't see many other, legal alternatives.
