    Hi -

    Could anyone here help me?

I am a part-time student (repeating 1 class). I only have college 2days per week (Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning).

    I also have a part-time job. 8 hrs/week.

Would I have any basis to make a claim at all?

    Thanks

well, you can be in receipt of dole if you work less that 24 (i think) hours a week.

I was just wondering as I am a part-time student, whether that would make a difference.

Have you registered back with the college and paid fee's and all. A few of my mates have gone on the dole when they have failed a college year, not registered for the repeat year and just did the exams at the end - If you have a big lecture class then you can still sit in on lectures.

that's a good idea, but I have registered :( and also, if I did that I would miss out on doing the continous assessment! which i need!

it's only 3 hours per week that I will be in college.
