Cracked Screen

Hi does any1 know if everything coming from america gets taxed or is there exceptions as i cracked my laptop screen and cheapest place i can find is america(for some reason everything is really cheap over there).

Or if u know of a place that does laptop screen replacements that is cheap let me know please thanks!

Its a dell inspiron 640m. i know its not a new model or anything but it is still good and i cant beleive i cracked it talk about an expensive mistake.

You'll get taxed ordering a screen from the states.

DHL and the like are obliged to collect vat for the state,those screens are on ebay at 79 sterling! any good?

They may charge an administration fee too.

I got a replacement keyboard for a macbook pro from the states that cost €80.
Fedex Charged me €32 for import and administration.

Yea thanks tried ebay there and came accross 1 for 90 euro and £15 delivery. i think i will go for it id say id get it no cheaper else where but saying that the 1 in america was $78 which was really cheap.

Funny enough tried ebay eariler and came up with 0 results just re-worded the desciption there after u guys said try it and they showed up.

At the min i have my tv hooked up to laptop with vga cable it works but wont b a permanent fix.

Instead of looking for just the screen on ebay, often it can be cheaper to buy a broken laptop on ebay and using it for spare parts!
Of the same make and model obviously.

After tax and administration charges i would guess that would cost in the 100 euro mark. The ones in the uk work out at around 110euro, i'd probably go for that just to save any hassle.

Yea this 1 sounds like a good deal but as u said after tax and charges it will work out the same.
The 1 i ordered works out exactly €110 delivered as u said.
