    only jus joined dis like ten minutes ago dunno where to post ma question but need to know bout visiting prison gotta visit one on tuesday and dunno hat da rules are or what to expect n cant find answers anywhere

    whats to understand ?

    you are visiting someone in prison..... and want to know the rules....

    I assume common sense is applied .... don't bring anything illegal in ... gifts will be checked so you might be allowed to give cigarettes (Maybe) , I dont know if physical contact with the person is permitted I would assume it is but would be limited.

    I guess once you turn up to the prison there will be a list of rules/regulations .... if all else fails - ask one of the prison officers what to do or where to go.... you'll more than likely just follow someone else for the pathway in.

    Only just joined this site around ten minutes ago and I am not too sure were to post my question, but I need to know about visiting prison. I have to visit one on Tuesday and I do not know what the rules are, or what to expect and I cannot find answers anywhere!

    Depending on the prison, there will be scanners, sniffer dogs etc. Normal rules as per airports - scissors, tweezers in handbags will have to be left with security, if you forget to take them out before you go in. If the dogs detect drugs, you will probably be given a choice between a search or not going in. You may need ID too, each prison has different rules. Try phoning the prison before you go if you're unsure about anything.
