Broken Nintendo

I have two broken Nintendo DS's. One, purchased in June 2009 has the hinge broken and need to flip it right back in order to play The new one was purchased in March this year on eBay. DD dropped to the ground and stopped working. I have called Nintendo in UK and they said because i purchased it in eBay it has no warranty…

I have called Nintendo in UK and they said because i purchased it in eBay it has no warranty with them.
I went to Games Stop in Mallow but they wont repair or trade them in.
What the heck am i going to do now with two broken DS and two very sad boys?
I can't afford to buy two new ones...

There are a number of console repair places that may be able to sort you out. The one comes to mind first is simply "Console Repairs Ireland", and google should point ya in the right direction.
