I found out I pretty much wrecked my passenger side wheels when I hit the curb a few days ago. They've gone all wobbly and I don't think they can be repaired.

Anyway. I found a few guys selling their used wheels on the Puma forums.
Reasonably priced (all four for around £50). Only problem is they're in UK.

So I was wondering if anyone of you know a good way of getting the wheels delivered to Dublin from UK without it costing a fortune...

    Thanks.

For £50 I'd make sure that they are not in the same way as your own...

There are a few guys selling the wheels. Haven't committed to anyone yet. Waiting for them to send me pics of the wheels...

I hope they're in good shape. Wouldnt mind a bit of kerb damage and such as long as they've got no dents and are not wobbly. Mine is really bad. You can see it wobbling when you spin it...

If your old rims are badly damaged from being kerbed you can be sure your tyres are shot too. Tyres with internal damage tend not to lead to good things, especially if the tyre-wall structure gives way at speed or under stress. It might be worth looking for a set complete with good tyres or even new tyres while you're at it.

    They're not old.
I just overcooked a corner and ended up hitting the kerb pretty hard. That damaged the passenger side wheels pretty badly. It bent/buckled the front wheel making it really wobbly, had to replace that with the space. The rear one is also buckled but not as bad as the front one so its still useable, just. Still I'ld like to have both of them replaced.

Surprisingly the wheel hubs, steering and suspension bits look quite intact (not movement anywhere). It has screwed up the tracking though.

The tyres look in good shape. Not much damage to them. Guess there is some advantage buying expensive continental tyres...

As you've said yourself one wheel got hit pretty hard to the extent that it damaged the wheel badly. It is highly unlikely the tyre survived such an impact unscathed. Please at the very least have your tyre checked by a professional, just because it looks good to you does not mean there is no internal damage no matter how expensive the tyre cost. Is it worth risking a blowout?

Well, right now its running on the spare wheel+tyre.
But when I get the new/replacement wheels, I'll get the tyres checked by the tyre shop guy before I get them put on the wheels.

why dont you ring around main dealers and enquire if any ford pumas have been scrapped on the scrappage scheme they would only be delighted to sell you parts off the car and at very low prices .The dealers only need to ensure the engine and chassis are destroyed.
