You'll get a slideshow of info about Ryanair and the job first and then a short 5 min interview about you and why you want the job. Make sure you prepare plenty of good reasons for why you want to be cabin crew. Also, be prepared for a long day. Is it with Dalmac?

And a few months later prepare to to say why you don't want the job... like all the current incumbents.

because that's what they look like to me.

Sullen ,disinterested, going through the motions.

cabincrew is a tough job... forget about seeing any exotic places.

the aft or fwd cabin will be the same in DUB as CIA

The punters flying with you are usually the lowest of the low.Almost without exception.

    No reasoning with them.

    best of luck to you.

    and then you post then...

shooting yourself in the foot there.:confused::confused:

and to call almost all ryanair passengers lowest of the low is quite pathetic to be honest. i fly with ryanair up to 60 times a year and ive yet to see any trouble from any passengers. there are some idiots yes, but most people who fly are reasonably well behaved.

    What an idiotic statement.

A very silly statement. However I do agree that cabin crew, especially for Ryanair, is a very demanding and challenging job. Fast turnarounds and a lot of pressure to sell. Make sure you want to do it. It's nothing like the old times of glamorous jet-setting lifestyle seeing a new city every night. You will see the same cabin every day as said, and if you're lucky some tarmac in a remote airport.

Rewarding job if you're into it, but very tough. All I'm saying is be sure. And if you are then the best of luck in the interview :)

I believe all that was meant was that due to Ryanair's low prices, it means that more and more people who don't have a lot of money are able fly. I think it's safe to assume the majority of people who are on lower incomes are not as well educated and come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds than people who are on high incomes. Because of this, another safe assumption is that these people are more likely to be loud, abrasive and not have as much respect for their fellow travellers. It DOES NOT mean that everyone on a low income is like this, only that there is a higher proportion of these people in that group compared to a higher socioeconomic group of people.

It's because of this that you'll find a higher proportion of unruly passengers on-board Ryanair flights than you do on more expensive arliners. Again, it DOES NOT mean that all Ryanair passengers are like this or that other airlines are exempt from unruly passengers either.

My advice is don't take posts at face value, learn to read between the lines. Secondly, boasting that your family own three houses and a Porsche just makes you like a dick. There are other ways of getting the same point across without boasting.

    Ah stop trolling again Owenc!

Back on topic, like the lads said it is a very demanding job.

You do not get to overnight in their destinations, you have 25 minute turnarounds which are very busy, you are under pressure to sell as many drinks, snacks, scratch-cards and perfume as possible as there are targets to be met.
An average day without delays could be 10-12 hours long.

You also have airport standbys where you have to come into work and spend the day sitting there waiting to be called,if at all. Apparently the rate for an airport standby is atrocious, about €25!!

Look around at any other carriers if they are recruiting, Goodluck!

What's a Porsh? Is it the thing on the front of one of the three houses?

the interview day starts with a presentation from Dalmac telling you about the job and then one on one interviews. mostly they ask about previous experience and why you want to be cabin crew and how you would deal with various situations.

sure it's not the most glamourous airline to work for and we work long hours and don't get to see places we go, but it's still a good job and dealing with idiot passengers on some flights only happens rarely, most people are decent are realise we're only human, the other crew make it worthwile when it's a good crew, and the sullen disinterested ones are the ones who leave, leaving more job spaces for people who actually want to be crew.

How do they get away with that?

every airline does it, and it's 30 euro for non ryanair contractred staff and more when you have a full contract. and you only do it once every few months
