How to sell a dodgy ford fiesta

    Hi,

    I have a 00 ford fiesta.
    It has 85k miles, has electric front windows, cd player. Its in good condition except (big except) its got a faulty head gasket. Also the NCT just expired on it which will certainly go against me.

    I am saving up to go travelling and want to get rid of the car. I haven't got the money or the motivation to fix it or sell it on. And I dont want to sell the car to some one on the sly and leave them with the problem.

    What should I do
    1. Sell it to dismantler? How much would you get?
    2. Sell it to dealer? Does anybody know places in dublin that would be interested in such an old car?
    3. Other ideas?

    All help appreciated

    Advertise as it is detailing all issues on donedeal.ie or similar.

    Don't hide the facts and you'll be fine. Just make sure to price it accordingly obviously. If you could get it through the NCT and get the head done you might make more from the sale. Worth looking into...

    Also, for any sales PLEASE dont call you car dodgy.

    A dodgy car to me has a big hidden secret that the seller is not saying upfront, whicj could be stolen/write-off/dangerous.

    Your car has 2 fixable problems. No NCT and HG blown.
