Can anyone confirm or deny my suspicion that FF urged its members to call Liveline today? I'm convinced that at least the first two callers and probably more were plants. The frequent disclaimers of "I have no political affiliation, Joe" aren't convincing.

I'm sure they did and they are quite entitled to do so imo. I'd imagine it happens regularly among all politcial parties. So what?

Because there are other shows, like the Frontline, Vincent Brown etc., reserved for politicians and their supporters. A show like Liveline isn't worth very much but at least its callers should say if they have a horse in the race. Isn't that what Duffy prides the show on, for giving the non elite a platform? It seems disingenuous to give airtime to someone who maintains that they are open minded on a given subject when in fact they are covertly pushing some agenda. Fair enough?
