Is anyone else have lots of stutter, judder and break up of picture on UPC digital lately?

I have Hd and my GF had the SD recorder. I'm in Tallaght and shes in clondalkin but we are both getting large amounts of the above. It's particularly bad on hers when shes watching living I think. I'm watchign History HD and every couple of sentences theres a noticable pop in the audio and every couple of mins theres large areas of blocking, as well as once in the last 10 mins I've got the "no signal" screen for about 10 seconds.

Been getting that myself (Cabinteely Area) on a few channels, mostly E4, strange clicking sound then no audio for a sec or two.....

Theres no improvement on this. It's bloody ridiculous.

Watching Disc Science and every 5 -10 seconds theres a quick drop of the sound or a pop. I got a new Tv the day before yesterday and it was happening before and after the change so they cant claim it's the tv.

It's making loads of channels pretty much unwatchable.

Its the cable. If you have HD then you should get UPC to installed the higher quality cable from the roof to your box. I had the problem where I had SD to one tv and HD / Broadband to another room and it never worked. UPC came out on Friday and ran an additional cable from the roof to the HD/Broadband and everything works great now.

I am having the same problem too (Kilmainham) and I don't have a HD box or anything, just regular digital with UPC! It is so annoying!

What did UPC say about it when you rang them?

I've had HD for months and it's only started in the last couple of weeks. The GF doesnt have HD and it's happening to her.

This is happening on the E4 channels for me too and its very difficult to sit through anything. So is the verdict that is a cable problem or a problem on UPC's end? Since a lot of people seem to be having the problem from what I've read around the E4/Channel 4 family I'm guessing its their end no?
