Not too sure whether to post this in the Dublin City Forum or the Food & Drink so opted to post in both :)

Can anybody reccommend a really nice Italian restaurant in Dublin (preferably city centre but can also do the northside also)

    Thanks

Il Primo on Montague St is the best I've been to in Dublin.

Il Baccaro in temple bar (meeting house square) is really nice

I do like Il Baccaro, but I'm also a HUGE fan of Ciao Bella Roma on Parliment st.
But my absoloute favourite is Enoteca Torino in Inchicore.

Ciao bella roma is *awful*, I went there a couple of times and I will never go there again!!!

Enoteca Torino in Inchicore is really good, I like it; Il Baccaro: never been there; Milano is really good (for both pizza and other stuff), I head some good comments about 'nonna valentina' in portobello but I never tried it.

Stay away at all costs from Dunne's and Crescenzi

I was ill after eating in Il Baccaro so wouldn't go there again. (Note: I have a stomach of steel and have a very regular diet... it was definitely Il Baccaro which was the problem).

    The food was lovely though!

    My recommendation:

Ciao Bella Roma for their cream pizza.

Enoteca Torino is brilliant, especially if you're looking for something quick, I used to live in the area and I loved popping in for a pannini, they're pasta and mushroom dishes are to die for, the staff are so friendly as well!

I quite like Ciao Bella Roma for a cheap and cheerful bite. Wasn't overly fond of Il Baccaro; not bad but not great.
