bear with me I know I'm probably the last person on the planet who wasn't using facebook and i've just swedged in

I'm coming form a twitter / jaiku / buzz / digg background so i understand social networks

    BUT

I can not get my head around facebooks "news feed"

the posts i can see on the facebook website (while logged in from my PC) are

slightly different from the view on my mobile if I login to either the mobile firendly site (or override that) and go to the main site (but through the android browser)

I get a different view again (missing some posts) if I use a client on the PC like hootsuite

and yet different again if I use a client on the phone like tweetdeck

am I missing something? What's the best way to scan your news feeds on the go?

What's the best PC client / mobile phone app (andorid) for getting notifications of messages / comments on posts etc?

    any ideas?
