sky: phone line requirement in uk?

A mate of mine is planning on moving over to blighty - off the beaten track so I would imagine it will be sat that will be the option for him. Just wondering, do sky insist on a phone line connection over there?

For multiroom yes.
For new install it's like here. Pay extra to avoid phone line.
If no multiroom and over 1 year then no phone line needed without extra charge.
