Can happen if the car was kept around the quarry.
The rubber dries up and starts to crack and fall away.

My mate Gavin from AutoGlass tells me that its possible the previous owner noticed a small crack in the windscreen which could spread.

Gavin then butchered the repair and scratched the paintwork but hide it using sealant.

OP check and see if the windscreen was replaced. Possible bad windscreen replacement I'd reckon

    Dotty145.

There was a recall regarding the rust you mentioned (due to faulty windscreen molding)
Get your VIN number ready and ring your nearest Honda dealer ;)

    +1

The recall was to replace the rubber strip above the windscreen and apply a sealer to the metal to stop rust.If the rust was bad the recall covered any remedial work aswell.

Have there been some posts deleted in this thread? Because the above two posts make no sense at all.
