I bought a used peavey amp off musicstore.de and it arrived today. I plugged it in and turned it on but theres no power. I checked the fuse on the amp and it was burnt out. So i went to get a new fuse, had to go to three different shops before finding the right fuse. Put the new fuse in the amp turned the power switch on…

So i went to get a new fuse, had to go to three different shops before finding the right fuse. Put the new fuse in the amp turned the power switch on and there was power, then i turned on the standby switch and theres a loud pop, i checked the fuse and it was burnt out again. What could be causing the fuse to go? Also, there is no sound when i plug in my guitar and leave the standby switch off.
