Howard Rotospreader 100 - Bearing Spec

    I have a "Howard Rotospreader 100" manure side-spreader. The front bearing on the main shaft is gone. Anyone know what size it is?

    The machine is old. We have it about 25 years and it was bought second-hand. More than likely imperial size. It was well minded and only does about 3 days work every year.

    I found the following manual;
    http://www.agrimanuals.com/howard-rotaspreader-100-mkii-parts-manual-8360-p.asp

    I could take it off and measure it, but better to know the spec I think.

    Are Howard still in business?
    Who owns them?

    It would be very hard for anyone to be able to tell. Could you get the bearing off or has it disintegrated into a thousand pieces??

    If you can get it off, there are loads of bearing suppliers across the country who will be able to measure the inner ring and supply the right size to you. If not, bring the whole spreader to a bearing supplier who will measure the shaft and get you a properly sized bearing.

    Best of luck!!
