I got rid of my upc mmds subscription in favour of sky+. (So much better)

There are some channels that are available to watch still on my Chorus sagem box.

    RTE 1
    Cartoon Network
    Disney Cinemagic
    Boomerang
    Sky Sports News
    Setanta 1
    Setanta Ireland
    CNN
    Channel 4
    Channel south
    3e
    TG4

If i take the card out. There is sound coming from those stations so its not FTA. Not sure if this helps anybody but its a bonus for me. I can watch watch some footie on setanta which i dont pay for on my sky.

You have to return the Sagem box and Card. They belong to UPC. Even if they do not retrieve them, you have no entitlement to continue viewing.

There are no FTV , FTA or Free channels of any kind on MMDS or Cable. It's simply not fully locked.

No Subscription means ZERO entitlement to watch.

Under Irish law you have to pay if you continue to watch. UPC management do read the forums.

See Charter of this Forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055191530

    (2) No person shall—
    [GA]

( b ) wilfully damage or attempt to damage a system or part of a system operated by a licensee or service provider.

Would it not be UPC's respnsibilty for the collection of their equipment?

    Yes, it is.
It should be boxed up, not in use or else you can be liable to pay for the service.

Just use it away but make sure they are not billing you.

Advising someone to break the law isn't smart. The Internet isn't anonymous.
