Be happy yours went down pal. I have 3 years no claims and mine went up by 500 this month. Even shopping around the best I could get wasnt much cheaper than what I pad last year.

My advice would be when your shopping for quotes dont just use brokers like 123.ie try the insurance company's site too because Axa was 1000 cheaper quoting me on their own site compared to through online brokers

Yeah, Gitb1 is right, just look at as many sites as you can, and ring around. This year, it was €900 cheaper to go through insure.ie for an AXA FamilyFirst policy(I'm driving my mams car), than it was to go with AXA themselves. (1,200 .vs. 2,100)

-- good, make sure you shop around as much as possible

i will have two years no claims bonus when this current one is up. is it ok to put in 2 now even though it wont be 2 until a few weeks.
-- put in whatever it will be on your renewal date / the date you intend to start this new policy

also when entering date of birth will i put im 18 even though i will be 19 when its up

-- unless i'm missing something here just enter your dob. it's not gonna change. your dob is your dob. they'll work out the age you are at the time you start the policy.

renewal for my insurance came in this week,

    24 with 5 years NCB with full license driving a 1.2 golf - 1200.

rang a crowd called acorn insurance and they've knocked 500 off that to 700euro. only difference in the two policies is my current policy has open drive whereas the acorn policy doesn't. for the amount of times i need to use open drive it's not worth that extra 500.

    my advice is shop around.
