not the easiest bus wise. 47 down to the N11 and 46a plus 15 min walk

75 from the industrial estate and and the same walk.

Luas to cherrywood and 7/111 down to college (when Luas starts) 7/111 drops you at the door.

go to dublinbus.ie and try the journey finder, see what it throws out.

it's quite an awkward journey by bus, could you possibly cycle? it's not that far 3 or 4 miles, so easily do it in under 30mins.

otherwise the 47 bus then the 46a and the walk seems best, but this could take an hour or more.

From this weekend the 63 will connect Ballyogan to Dun Laoghaire directly - If you can walk to Ballyogan estate you can catch that.

    The timetable is at:
    http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/63-Revised-Times/

From there you can take a 7 to Sallynoggin.

Other than that it is the 47 to Stillorgan and 46a or 75 to Dun Laoghaire, followed by a 7.

Don't do this bit unless you're lazy :). Its much quicker to walk from Monkstown Farm roundabout across than it is to travel down York road tot he terminus and then walk up to Marine Road and wait for a 7/111

The 63 will operate from Kilternan via Glenamuck Road, The Park Retail Park, and then via Ballyogan Road as far as the shopping centre where it will go through Ballyogan estate and then back along Ballyogan Road to Carrickmines and on to Dun Laoghaire.

Allow about 8/10 minutes after the departure time shown for Kilternan for the bus to get to Ballyogan.

The 63 operates next week too. Why take two buses when one will do the job?

I think you may be mixed up there. The 47 goes to pearse street in the city centre, not pearse street in sallynoggin.

i dont know where Ballyogan estate is...is it the bus stop after the new traffic lights and the dunnes store is behind it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,316 ✭✭✭KC61

Yes. Walk along Ballyogan Road as far as the Dunnes Stores shopping centre. Take a left turn at the lights and then the bus stop that you would get the 63 from is the one in front of you on the lefthand side.

With respect you've been told your options several times!!

Route 63 from Ballyogan to Mounttown Roundabout and walk (or continue to Dun Laoghaire and then 7).

Route 47 from Kilgobbin Road to Brewery Road and 46a to Mounttown Roundabout and walk (or continue to Dun Laoghaire and then 7).

    That is it!!!
